Cleaning
Thank you for your purchase of a TMAC sight, with a little care and attention it will provide years of dependable accuracy.
To keep your sight in its new and accurate condition we suggest you wash it frequently. We would suggest washing it after every fourth use, more often in windy, dusty conditions.
To clean, first remove the iris, wind the windage and elevation arms out until they touch the stop screws and immerse in Kerosene, (Observe OH&S safety guidelines when cleaning). Closely inspect the sight and if necessary remove any stubborn dirt with an old toothbrush or bore cleaning brush. Dry the sight. Spray the site with Inox MX5 Plus. Crank both windage and elevation arms to work solution into threads.
Wipe excess off with a clean cloth leaving a fine film of oil over the entire sight. Then replace the site in the water tight container provided by TMAC to keep your sight in pristine condition.
TMAC Sights are now supplied with quarter increment movements on both windage and elevation arms to suit the smaller ICRFA targets, but can still be changed to half increments if required or requested when purchasing. It is recommended by SIA that the sight is returned to us for this change as care needs to be taken to not affect the accuracy of the sight. SIA makes no charge for this adjustment, either post the sight to us with return postage or see us at any of the major shoots throughout Australia.
